T.R.E.E.,
Inc.
The current Board of Directors were elected January, 2001.
Current President is William D. Moriaty. A Tampa native, Will works for the Florida Department of Transportation District 7 as a Vegetation Management Specialist. He currently lives in Plant City with his wife Karen Cashon in a 1920 house with an herb garden and Kittybitts (a female tortoise seal-point RagDoll who is the world's most wonderful cat), Erin (a female grey long-hair who is the world's sweetest cat), and Tezcatlipoca (a female mackeral tabby long-hair who apparently is the world's most skittish kitten).
Vice President Bob Scheible, a native of Miami, works as a horticulturist for the Lowry Park Zoo. He owns the land also used as the T.R.E.E. nursery, adjacent to Eureka Springs Park. The original site's owner, the late Mr. Albert Greenburg, started tropical fish farming in the state of Florida as well as water lily farming and cultivation. His original fish ponds still dot the site and there is a lovely rosy yellow variety of water lily with mottled foliage that bears his name. Mr. Greenburg donated to Hillsborough County the land that Eureka Springs Park is situated on.
Secretary Richard Bailey is a certified Arborist who until recently also served as the president of the Florida Chapter of the Society of International Arborists and was also the Urban Forester of Tampa Electric Company. He and his wife live in Riverview; Richard is a self-employed nurseryman and arborist.
Treasurer John L. Blechschmidt lives in Clearwater, Florida and works for Seminole Electric Cooperative. He and his wife Beth are avid FSU Seminole fans and own two wonderful Labs, a yellow named Cheyenne and a black named Seneca. They hold joint title to the world's most wonderful dogs.
Registered agent Greg Van Stavern is a Tampa native who resides in south Tampa, in a beautifully landscaped, cedar house. Greg also collects antique and classic cars, and memorabilia from the 50s and 60s. He finally got hitched on October 28, 2001 to Dee Dorsty of Bradenton!
Elections are held every
