Transfiguration 40th Anniversary Reunion |
The Reunion this past April was a great event. Friends and classmates who had lost touch over the years were able to re-establish their friendships. The Presentation Sisters were able to return to Florida, renewing old friendships with parishioners, parents and former students. The alumni visited with the priests, sisters and teachers who formed and shaped their lives as young children. The alumni's parents and the parishioners who worked on the reunion or just attended were happy to see all of the former students and faculty. They even made new friends as they talked with all who attended the reunion.
However, the reunion, just like a graduation ceremony, was a commencement not a final event. The "Reunion Committee" has been re-commissioned the "Alumni Committee" and will continue to work together with the Pastor, Principal and various other committees as they strive to build their sense of community with all of the current and past members of Transfiguration School. The Alumni Committee will be continuing the TORNADO as a semi-annual newsletter to keep all informed of the activities happening here at Transfiguration. The committee will meet throughout the year to plan annual events for the alumni who are local or who are close enough to attend. If you would like to join the "Alumni Committee" or would like to be kept informed of activities on a regular basis, please send in your e-mail address if you have not already done so. We will add it to our email database that includes over 200 addresses to date.
The Alumni committee has built this website to post the Reunion Photos and current Alumni activities. We will be adding more photos as they become available.
