I will include links with background histories of my players in this section. That is if I can coherce them into writing their histories. I also want to give a little information about their characters here as well. Not their character statis and powers, but whether they have secret ids and such.
I am also going to include the javascript character converter I am working on. At present it is not completed enough that I want to put it here. When finished you will be able to take a Marvel SuperHeroes Saga campaign character and convert them to the Hero System. At present it only converts to the 4th edition rules, but as soon as I can, I'll make it 5th edition compatible.
The conversion information that I am using came from John Desmarais' The Stuff Heroes Are Made Of web page. I am very pleased with the work he has done on his conversion rules, and he has said that my converter is forcing him to finish up those conversion rules.
I would say that my converter is about 75% done. It will calculate the stats, give suggestions on the skills and has some of the powers done. Once the entire power list is finished, I will post the link to the page. I am also going to create a submit button that will allow you to email the finished information to your email address.

Ok, so how do I want my players to build their characters? First I would prefer the players to come up with some kind of conception. I think it is very important to character creation of any game. Then they should create the stats for the character. Since my campaign is a superhero campaign, they should have stats that are beyond human. But even though they are beyond human, there are still maximums that I have put on the stats.
Next they should develope the powers for their character. Once again character conception defines what powers their characters should have. If they are playing a brick type of character, along the lines of Ben Grim, they shouldn't have a flaming damage shield and shoot blasts of plasma, like Johnny Storm. I am not overly picky about what powers they can take, but they must follow their conception.
