Phil, the original bass player, came to the band via the same route as David Dix, Hughie Thomasson and Herb Pino as a member of the Rogues and subsequently of The Four Letter Words.

Phil did  stay long enough to be captured in at least one photo of the band but left the group to get married and moved to Boston around 1968.  He was replaced by Frank O'Keefe.

Phil current lives in North Florida on the St. John's river and is doing very well in the construction industry.
