The Florida Legislature has passed a bill that will allow Florida's motorcyclists over 21 to make the personal decision whether or not to wear a safety helmet if they have $10,000 in medical benefits coverage. The bill, HB1911, has  been received by the Governor for his signature and must be acted on by June 20, 2000. If this bill is signed, it will become law on July 1, 2000.
