Case Number 1I was severely harassed by an Orlando police officer this evening. She stopped me because of "my handlebars and illegal exhaust". Neither are illegal and she failed to issue me a ticket for either item. Instead, she gave me a total of 4 citations:
-riding without protective headgear
-no proof of insurance
-driving without a registration
-litteringIt was the most gross violation of probable cause imaginable. I have never been stopped in the 4 years that i've had my roadking with the exception of 1 speeding ticket. I have also had several friends harassed by "law" enforcement since last weekend and i'm really pissed off. It is quite obvious that the enforcement agencies don't like hb1911 and are planning to ignore it's passing. The woman that stopped me had the whole canned response a little too rehearsed when I asked her why she was stopping me...like she would even know an illegal exhaust if it blasted her in the face! If you are interested I will give you exact details. A trooper that stopped my friend over the weekend went as far as to say that she didn't care about the law, claimed that the media was giving false information and told him to put his helmet on! Only in america.
