For three months in the Spring of 1997, I surveyed other "Fibromites" on
the alt.med.fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue newsgroups. The following are the results of
that survey.
İMarilyn J. Kerr RN 1997-2001
<
Sherri, in the Fibromyalgia
Newsgroup, used the following to explain Fibromyalgia:
"Remember how it
feels when you got hit with a really nasty flu bug. You know, the one that hits you like a
Mack Truck--all you want to do is curl up in the fetal position in a dark room and hide
from the world because you hurt and can't function?
.....................Welcome
to my morning."
"Remember how it
feels when you've been in bed with that flu bug for three days and still feels lousy, but
you're bored and crabby?
.....................Welcome
to my day."
"Have you ever
been so tired that you just can't seem to get enough sleep--can't seem to get comfortable
and kept waking up?
.....................Welcome
to my night."
