Incidence of Allergies in CFS/FM/MCS Patients The 25 Fibromites involved in the testing of the survey were asked to list all their allergies. The question on allergies was removed from further testing since the results didn't seem to point to any possible cause of FM. However, according to two studies I found in Medline, Penicillin allergy is found in only 6-8% of the population. Because the original 25 testers cited a 28% allergy to penicillin, the question, along with asking for an explanation of the allergic symptoms, was returned to the March surveys. The 67 people questioned validated the previous question with 25% of both the 8 men and the 59 women being signiificantly allergic to penicillin.
