I have a Hero in my life . . .

Her name was Karen Tymon Thagouras.

September 2, 1957 ~ June 21, 2003

There is a saying that God never gives us more burdens than we can bear. If that's true, then God must think Karen is very, very strong.  Karen is the mother of eleven beautiful children and is battling her third round of cancer in less than two years. Her first surgery related to these bouts of cancer was while she was pregnant with her eleventh child.  Today, 11/18/02, Karen started a five day treatment to address spots found on her liver as well as fight off any other bad cells elsewhere.  I just spent the past ten days with her and she is in need of our prayers.  Karen has a very strong faith and simple wants. Please pray for her physical and emotional health as well as for her family. Many prayers are being directed to Mother Teresa in hopes that Karen's total recovery will be one of the miracles necessary to meet Mother Teresa's criteria for beatification. I know of no one who deserves a miracle more than Karen.
