Log Cabin Republicans of Tampa Bay is the Bay Area's home for gay, lesbian and straight Republicans who want to make a difference in their city, county, Florida and the U.S.A. We hold conservative values while believing that compassion, inclusion and understanding represent the ideals of most Americans.

We believe that there is an alternative for gay and lesbians in our community. Diversity includes differences in political views and that one party does not reflect the attitudes and opinions of all gays and lesbians.


	Our origin: Log Cabin was founded to battle the nation's first anti-gay ballot measure - California's Proposition 6 in 1978. The first Log Cabin members enlisted Ronald Reagan to publicly oppose the measure, which was then defeated. Since then, Log Cabin Republicans has grown to become a leading voice on the local and national stage on behalf of the mainstream concerns of the lesbian and gay community.
