VISITING LOCALITIES

Here are some places patrons should visit to help them find information
on the particular family they are researching. Follow the links for more details about each type of information center.

  • Cemeteries

Those old tombstones can tell your patron a lot about ancestors for whom they were carved.

  • Churches

Churches have kept records of your patron's ancestors long before most governments did.

  • Courthouses

Courthouses keep records of more than just criminals--they are a good place for your patron to find lots of information about her ancestor.

  • Old Homesteads

If the old place still stands, the inhabitants and their attic may reveal interesting clues to the patron's ancestor.

  • Family Reunions

Have fun, do research and meet cousins!

  • Migration Trails of Family

Just how did the family travel to live in a particular locality?
