EARLY HISTORY OF THE O'DRISCOLLS:
The O'Driscolls have inhabited the southern coast of County Cork, Ireland for centuries.

JOHN AND JULIA O' DRISCOLL
John O'DRISCOLL
of Upper Lisheen, Aughadown, on Roaring Water Bay in West Cork,
married
Julia HARRINGTON some time in the 1850s after
the Great Famine.
They had at least two children:
- Mary DRISCOLL - born in about 1855,
went to Boston to work, and returned to Ireland after her
sister's death to marry Randal BURKE, raised six children
in Ballyoughtera, Creagh, Skibbereen, Co. Cork, and and died of pneumonia in
1920.
- Ellen DRISCOLL - who was born in Lisheen, Aughadown and died in Boston in the 1880s.
