Vince, baby Sammy and Greg, 1976 Vince and his new baby Sammy
visited Greg in St. Petersburg in August 1976. Sammy was born June 29, 1976.

The Centanne Family in 1963 Vince, Sebastian, Mary, Greg and Agatha Centanne. This photo was taken in the living room of the Centanne home in North Ft. Myers, Fla.
The family moved to Florida in 1962, and to North Fort Myers in 1963. Mary and Sebastian are
Greg's parents, Vince is his twin brother, and Agatha is his paternal grandmother.

Aunt Lillian "Lil" Centanne Biamont in 1983.
Aunt Lil is Sebastian's sister.
This photo was taken at Sunken Gardens
when she visited Greg and Sharon in Florida that winter.
Lil was 80 years old when this photo was taken. She is still alive in 1998.

Mary and Sebastian Centanne - 1935. Mary Hozdovich Centanne
and Sebastian Centanne around the time of their marriage in 1935 in Gary,
Indiana. Mary and Seb are Greg's parents.

Ross Centanne. This photo was taken in 1936. Ross is Sebastian's father
and Greg's grandfather and was married to Agatha Tripi Centanne. Ross was born in 1876 in Alia,
Palermo, Sicily, Italy and changed his name from Rosario Centanni to Ross Centanne about 1910.
Ross earned his living by selling flowers he grew in his own greenhouse
business in Gary, Indiana. Ross died in 1952 in Gary.

Biaggio "Charley" Centanni and Ross Centanne. Ross had a job delivering school books in New Orleans, and stopped to visit his brother Charley who was the first barber of
Kenner, La. This photo was taken about 1907 or 1908.

Biaggio "Charley" Centanni and his wife Bessie on their 50th Wedding Anniversary in Moblie, Alabama. Charlie and Bessie had seven children: Lillian, Mary, Ross,
Julius, Louis, Joseph "Joey", and Fred. Ross died in World War II and Joey died as a baby.

Louis Centanne and his wife Bernice.
Louis was one of Charley's sons. Bernice died December 16, 1988.
Louis died in 1997.

The Centanni/Centanne brothers about 1911
This photo shows the three brothers with their families and was probably
taken in Gary, Indiana. Ross and Agatha (left) are shown with Lil and baby
Mary. Salvadore "Sam" (center) was still single. Charley and his wife
Bessie (right) are shown with their family.

Rosario Centanni, born 1843.
Rosario is the father of Charley, Ross and Sam and a daughter Theresa.
He is shown here with his second wife Josefina,
and his grandson Julius Centanni. Julius is Charley's son,
and was about five years old at the time.
Rosario came to America in 1889 from Alia,
and grew vegetables to sell in the French Market
in New Orleans by the time this photo was taken.

Death Certificate of Rosario Centanni, January 20, 1921.
Rosario died in January 1921,
mourning the death of his daughter Theresa
and his baby granddaughter the same month.

Death Certificate of Theresa Centanni Gennero , January 1921.
Theresa died mourning the death of her baby Lillian who was only about
two years old, and who died a week earlier than Theresa. Theresa was born in
1889 soon after her parents arrived in New York and she married Paul Gennero.

Salvatore Centanni, brother of Rosario. Salvatore was born in 1839, came to America about 1883, and went back to Italy in 1905 after selling his land in New Orleans. He took his grandson Joseph, age 3 with him back to Italy. Joseph's descendants later returned to America and settled in Rochester, N.Y. Salvatore is shown here with an unidentified relative, possibly his wife or his sister. His wife was Louise Soleto Centanni.
