1925 - Born: Orange Memorial Hospital - Orange, N.J. - Raised in West Orange, N.J. United States Marine Corp - Enlistment: Aug. 12, 1942 - Discharged: Nov. 8, 1945. Presently residing in Seminole, Florida. (I Co. 3rd Btn. 21st Reg. 3rd Division) After "Pearl Harbor" Life Member: MCL, DAV,VFW, PVA, and "ALL" Honor societies. Holding many active positions while in a wheelchair, and learning "Everything:" All Over! |
Charles Lindberg was one of the orginal six that raised the first Flag on Mt. Suribachi, Iwo Jima, (of 2) sending photo's of this Historic event. Donated and owned by the Marine Corps-Archives,...Quantico,VA (Donated in 1994). B.A.B.I. has it's Own collection etc. As a former Marine; I wanted my brothers & sisters remembered, costing me 32 years, and learning "Everything" over Again!!
